 Hello Internet,

The latest episode is here - https://youtu.be/wIMAVhZLc-I

So this one is going over Top 10 lists, I do love me a good Top 10 list but sometimes I think they've gone a little overboard, when a Top 10 list is done right it can be an insightful look over a specific field and attempt to rank the contents according to an arbitrary scale that the creator has put together which you will either agree or disagree with, so the ones that have merit are typically done by those you have a rapport with.

I thought for a while about why Top 10 lists have become so popular, I think part of it is the easy content delivery and manufacture of it, I can see how a channel that puts together a template for constructing top 10 lists can squirt them out at a very rapid rate, with a very fast turn around letting them have a quick reaction to cultural trends (for instance, Show X has become popular, here are 10 things you may have missed or 10 plot points or 10 Horses that got a look etc.).

Building this episode was actually quite difficult, I had put together some of the construction parts but I decided to go a bit overboard with it, adding way too many transitions and animations to make it over the top. Since I asked my friends on Facebook for suggestions, I got a wild group of things to construct around, oddly enough I had 2 people suggest Chris Morris related things (Clarkycat and Robopleagic Wrong Cock), which is partly why I went overboard with the transitions as Brass Eye/The Day Today are huge inspirations of mine.

I'm also influenced by Tim and Eric hence the little weird scream bit at the very start, as this was seen in the first episode of Tim and Eric Awesome Show Good Job! when Tim turns himself into a cat and keeps switching back to a naked screaming small version of himself.

As long as it took to make this episode I really had fun making it, I'm actually quite happy with how it has come together and the overall tone of it. As strange as it seems, the flipping numbers at the end is actually one of the bits I'm most happy with, considering it was made at a whim to cover the final part of the video, it came out well and reminds me of Sesame Street.

I had recorded more chair talking bits but I forgot to use them! I got to around 5 and realised I had forgot to put in little parts talking about lists, by the time I realised I thought it would spoil the flow of the episode.

Thanks for reading, have a fantastic day!
