Hello Internet,
So the latest episode is here - https://youtu.be/OcVh-ImvXpc
This one is a bit of a strange one, I'm not knocking all react videos as some are quite interesting and fall within the remit of someone who knows about the topic they're covering, usually if a games journalist is reacting to a press release or someone from one of those fighting game communities is reacting to a new game/fighter/costume DLC ect. they typically have a purpose and entertainment value. I'm just not a big fan of ones that are reacts for normal videos where there is no additional input to the content being shown, you know the ones I'm on about, loud, massive overreaction ones where the entertainment is supposed to be from how someone is viewing things.
I get the impression that these are just an extension of the old shock image, then shock video reactions that you'd do with people in meat space. You remember right? When you used to call someone over and go 'Look at this Tubgirl thing' and wait for the horror on their face, you obviously being desensitised to it by looking and showing it for so long. I did something similar with a simfile contest over a decade ago and got banned, still worth it.
Anyway, the video is probably the most abstract thing I've done on the channel thus far, with an escalation of reactions over and over. The original content being lost in-amongst all the reactions, eventually watering it down to nothing but background noise.
You might have noticed a botch at the start, the usual phase in on the chair had a small bit where I wander in, bloody irked that I didn't catch that but it's usually the first and easiest thing to put in.
I think I'll mess around with the next intro.
One of the fun things about this video is that when I was recording the reaction with the mask on, I realised that the things I was saying would be heavily distorted because of said mask, so I thought that I would record a voice over in post. Whilst I was editing the episode my Daughter decided to watch me work, I thought it would be a bit of a lark to record one of her songs as she loves playing around with the mic and pop shield, her 'Lemon's Lemon's' song is something she sings often and I thought I would include it within the video.
This is the first video to feature no voice over from myself, but from a guest 😊
Thanks for reading, have a great day!
